Africa: middle and upper Congo River basin in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 41580 , 41590 , 41591 , 106245 , 106290 ). Reports from Loeme, Kouilou-Niari and Ogowe represent the revalidated Amphilius nigricaudatus (Ref. 81646 ). Identification of Chiloango and (marine) lower Congo specimens (Ref. 41590 ) is unclear (see also Ref. 81646 ).
