- Africa: present in the rapids of the lower Congo River (Ref. 78218 ). Possibly only known from the type locality near Inga hydroelectric dam and near Gombe (or Ngombe), about 20 km downstream from Kinshasa, Lower Congo River (Ref. 3236 , 42510 ).
