Bedotia madagascariensis (known locally as zona) is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Bedotiidae. As all other species in the family, it is endemic to Madagascar, where it is found in rivers and lakes between the Ivoloina River and the Manambolo Creek. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Distribution: Africa: lower reaches of Ivoloina River to at least as far south as Manambolo Creek which drains into the Lakendrano Mpangalana 10 km south of the town of Vatomandry, Madagascar (Ref. 76768 ). Following translocation to marshes near the village of Mahitsy (just outside of Antananarivo) in the 1950's, at present apparently also widely established in the Betsiboka basin (Ref. 76768 ).
