Leptostomias gracilis is a species of fish in the genus Leptostomias. The species has been documented in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and fully-grown adults can reach a maximum length of ~38 centimetres (15 in).

- Eastern Atlantic: Canary Islands to Angola but not recorded from the Gulf of Guinea; between 45°N and 50°N, and off South Africa. Also known from the Northwest Pacific. Leptostomias gracilis , Leptostomias macropogon , Leptostomias longibarba , Leptostomias bermudensis , Leptostomias analis and Leptostomias leptobolus are probably synonyms of a single species (the entire complex needs a thorough study, Ref. 4468 ).
