Atlantic chub mackerel (Scomber colias), also known as tinker mackerel, is a pelagic schooling species of mackerel found in the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Black Sea. It was originally thought to be a subspecies of the chub mackerel, Scomber japonicus.
