Zenopsis is a genus of dories, a group of marine fish. There are five extant species, but the genus is also known from fossils dating back to the Oligocene epoch. They largely resemble the better-known John Dory, and are typically found in relatively deep water, below normal scuba diving depth.

Distribution: Northwestern Atlantic: Sable Island, Canada to northern North Carolina, USA (Ref. 7251 ) to northern Argentina (Ref. 27363 ). Northeastern Atlantic: Bay of Biscay, stray in Mediterranean (Ref. 93173 ), to South Africa. Western Indian Ocean: South Africa to Somalia (Ref. 30573 ), but not Red Sea, to India. Reported from Indonesia (Ref. 5978 ) but not in the Pacific Ocean.
